Humans are programmed to love sugar. Presently, companies add sugars to everything from cookies and ice cream, to yogurt and dressings. This is one of the reasons why most people get more than their daily allotment of sugar.
According to NBC News, “Americans consume an average of more than 19 teaspoons of sugar a day.” In comparison, it is recommended that the average women eat 6 teaspoons, while the average man should consume no more than 9 teaspoons!
It is no surprise that most diets suggest limiting your sugar intake! To effectively lose weight, stay away from eating too much sugar, including low-sugar sweets and read your food labels. Sugar can be listed as over 60 different names on food labels so beware and stay away from the sugar!
