Consuming food late at night can disturb your sleep cycle tremendous and can have a long term effect on your body. Your body breaks down food during the day and uses it as energy until you fall asleep. If you consume food at night your body will store that food as fat and you’ll gain weight rather than burn energy.

Tips to help you proportion your food intake before bedtime:

  1. Stock up on quick microwavable food and eat them 1- 2 hour before of falling asleep
  2. If your feeling a little hungry at night, eat quick snacks like nuts, crackers and apple slices
  3. Do not overeat during the day (know your body’s limit)
  4. Drink plenty of water! (it can make your body feel more fuller and reduce to need eat at a weird time)
