Multiple things have been used as money over the years and today there is still a bunch of different types. For example, you have Canadian CAD, United States’ USD, and the United Kingdom’s EUR, but before the days of printed money, there were many things that you wouldn’t even expect to be trading for goods.

A few of the silly things used in the past as money instead of printed bills were cows, large stones, clam shells, blankets, rice, fish, barley, beads, salt, belts, peppercorn, blood, and bat feces.
